How much will my PERS pension be?
Answer six short questions. You'll get an estimate of your monthly pension (including Money Match for Tier One and Tier Two) and your IAP account, and see how waiting a year or two changes it. It takes about three minutes.
This is an estimate, not advice. We aren't part of Oregon PERS. Only PERS can tell you your actual benefit, so ask them for an official estimate before you set a retirement date. Rules checked October 17, 2026.

What if you work a little longer?
Each extra year adds service, and before your full-benefit age it also shrinks the early-retirement cut. Tap Show on any row to see that age.

Before you decide
- Ask PERS for an official estimate. Request one through your Online Member Services account or by calling PERS at 888-320-7377. Only PERS can confirm your numbers.
- Choose how your pension is paid. This estimate is for the option that pays only you. If you want a spouse or partner to keep receiving payments after you die, your monthly amount will be lower.
- Decide how to take your IAP. PERS can pay it as one lump sum, or in installments over 5, 10, 15 or 20 years. Ask a tax professional how each choice affects your taxes.
- Add Social Security to the picture. The Retirement Date Planner shows your pension, IAP and Social Security on one timeline and compares retirement dates.
- Plan for health insurance and taxes. The amounts here are before taxes and don't include health insurance costs.

What this estimate leaves out
For Tier One and Tier Two, we compare the Full Formula with Money Match and show the higher one. We don't calculate Formula Plus Annuity, which applies only to Tier One members who contributed before August 21, 1981, or PERS's 2003 "look-back" amount. This estimate also doesn't include raises, cost-of-living increases, survivor options, split Tier One/OPSRP careers, or special rules for 911 telecommunicators, judges and legislators. For partial years before your full-benefit age, we estimate between PERS's yearly factors.
